Collection and processing of your data
When you contact us, place an order, register for our newsletter, apply for a job or visit our website, we collect and process certain personal data relating to you. The nature, scope and purposes of this data processing are described below.
You can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. To do so, you can send us a message to the e-mail address office@sunelements.at or use the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you are free to notify us by other means. You also expressly grant us permission to send you valuable information by e-mail relating to your specific purchase intentions after you have expressed a clear interest in making a purchase (e.g. by adding a product to your shopping cart).
Visiting the website / use of cookies
In the course of your visit to our website, we collect personal data to the extent technically necessary (name of the file accessed, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL and the requesting provider). This data cannot be assigned by us to any specific person and is not combined with data from other sources.
We would like to point out that cookies are used during your visit to our website. Cookies are small files or other forms of information storage that are transferred from our web server or third-party providers to the user’s web browser and stored there for later retrieval. The cookies used on our website serve exclusively to simplify the shopping process (e.g. by storing items in the shopping cart) and to enable the use of certain functions of our web store. The cookies we use are deleted from your hard disk at the end of the browser session (session cookies). This data is collected on the basis of Section 96 (3) TKG.

Use and disclosure of your data

Geo-localization
To help you find a SunElements dealer in your area on our website, we use geo-localization. By using the IP address of the Internet user, we can determine the location.
We also use geo-localization to show you the right products, prices and taxes for your country in our online store.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In order to statistically evaluate the use of our website, cookies are stored on your computer as part of “Google Analytics”. We have concluded a contract with Google for commissioned data processing. The information collected by these cookies about your website usage (including your IP address) is anonymized before being stored on Google’s servers in order to prevent your computer from being identified. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Google uses this information to analyze the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Google Maps
On some of our websites, we integrate Google Maps from Google Ireland Limited, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, a service for displaying interactive maps. This enables us to show you our trading partners and our company location using Google Maps. When you visit the pages on which Google Maps is embedded, Google collects and stores certain information such as your IP address, the browser software you are using and its settings, which is transferred to the USA and stored there.
Google is responsible for the collection and storage of this data and uses it for its own purposes. Google LLC is certified by the US-EU Privacy Shield to ensure compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU. Use of social media plugins
For the integration of social media elements, we use plugins from the social networks YouTube (www.youtube.com) and Facebook (www.facebook.com), which are operated by the companies YouTube, Google Ireland Limited, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland respectively. In order to use this feature, we use a two-stage procedure in which you can give your consent to data processing by the operator of the social networks in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The data will only be transmitted to the operator of the social network if you as a user click on one of the icons displayed and thus consent to the transmission of your data to the operator of the social network. A connection from your browser to the respective social network is only established after such consent has been given.
By using the plugins, the social networks receive information about your visit to our website. If you are logged in to YouTube or Facebook during your visit to our website, this visit can be assigned to your account with the corresponding social network. Any interactions with the plugins can be saved by the operator of the social network.
