Our foundation suggestions
Worth knowing – The beginning.
Preparations for the SunGarden greenhouse – because everything starts with a stable foundation.
Preparation for the greenhouse
Everything starts with a stable foundation:
Point foundation
Preparing the foundation points requires a few steps. The specified points should be at least 30 x 30 cm in size and dug to a sufficient depth (usually 60-80 cm, depending on your region). Fill the excavation with 35 mm gravel and compact it carefully to create a stable base for a concrete layer at least 30 cm thick.
Strip foundation
For an ideal foundation, we recommend a concrete strip at least 10 cm deep. Erecting a concrete foundation is particularly easy with formwork blocks from the DIY store. These are set up according to the required dimensions, carefully aligned and then filled with concrete. Again, please ensure that the frost depth is sufficient.
Ground screw foundation
Our robust ground screw foundation defies storms and provides the perfect foundation for uneven terrain. The hot-dip galvanized ground screws are effortlessly screwed into the ground, allowing height differences and slopes of up to 15 cm to be easily compensated for. The only requirement is compact soil free of large stones and roots.
Concrete foundation
If you use your greenhouse exclusively for potted plants or for overwintering, you have the option of placing it on a paved or concreted surface. Alternatively, you can also lay concrete or paving slabs in the intended location.
